Dangerous parking poses several safety issues at the top of Llandough Hill. It restricts space and limits driver visibility.
It's illegal to park within 10 yards of a junction, so no one should be parking here.
But unless double yellow lines are installed, only the police can enforce it. This means that, unless a police officer is physically present at the time of the offence, enforcement will not occur.
The Council deploys a mobile camera car. But the car cannot issue tickets at the top of Llandough Hill without double yellow lines. That's why the police and Cardiff Bus both support installing them.
The Vale Council are responsible for installing double yellow lines. As a community, we're continuing to press them to act.
