On Monday 27th January 2020 was Holocaust Memorial Day. Art Central gallery hosted it annual Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration exhibition.
This year's theme is 'Stand Together', as set by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust. This year also marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Cllr Leighton Rowlands said "As part of the exhibition, I was privy to 'The Last Goodbye', and interactive virtual reality experience, 'The Girls of Room 28', the stories of fifteen female survivors who lived together in the Terezin concentration camp, as well as a series of other mixed media works. Art Central Gallery is a key Gem is the Vale of Glamorgan and is a magnificent place to exhibit, visit and appreciate art, and I would encourage everyone to visit the exhibition it was a moving experience.”
The exhibition opens Saturday, January 11 and will run into February.
