Local Conservatives are calling for action to stamp out speeding in Peterston and the surrounding villages.
Several residents have complained of vehicles “racing through” the village, with the problem getting worse during lockdown.
Shadow Cabinet Member for Transport Cllr Vince Driscoll said, “Residents rightly expect drivers travelling through the village to do so with care, and not treat it as a rat run. A Conservative-run Council will instruct the Highways Department to get a grip of the situation, reduce the speed limit and work with the police to get this enforced properly.”
