This is a watershed Senedd election. A vote for Welsh Conservatives in this election is a vote to close the per pupil spending gap between the Vale and Cardiff. It is a vote for more regeneration spending. It is also a vote against top-down development targets being imposed on our communities without consultation.

Alun Cairns was first elected as the Member of Parliament for the Vale of Glamorgan in May 2010. He lives in the constituency with his wife Emma, who runs her own small business, and with their son Henri, who attends the local Welsh primary school. His father was a welder in British Steel and his mother was a shop-keeper.
