George D. D. Carroll is the Councillor for Llandough on the Vale of Glamorgan Council and serves as Leader of the Vale Conservative Group.
Councillor Carroll has represented the residents of Llandough since 2017. He has consistently spoken out against policies which he believes are not in the best interests of local residents, including the Council's Replacement Local Development Plan, which he has pledged a Conservative administration would scrap in order to protect the Vale's green spaces.
He has also opposed Labour, Plaid Cymru, and Llantwit First's decision to designate the Vale of Glamorgan as a "County of Sanctuary" for illegal migrants and asylum seekers, arguing that the fundamental purpose of local government is to ensure well-run and effective services for residents rather than pursue ideological agendas. Under George's leadership, the Conservatives were the only group on the Council to vote against the decision.
