Local resident Russell Godfrey is calling for action to address safety concerns on Port Road.
There have been several near misses on the junction near Culverhouse Cross, and Russell fears the road layout is responsible.
He is calling on the Council to carry out an assessment of the junction, and reconfigure the road and traffic lights if necessary.
There are also concerns over speeding, with many residents complaining the 50mph limit is too high.
Russell believes a consultation should be carried out with local residents, to gauge if they would support it being reduced.
Russell said, “Road safety is of extreme importance, and the Council must take it seriously. It is important everything is done to make sure things are safe for local residents, to tackle both speeding and the problems at the junction.
