Local Conservative councillors have demanded action action to stamp out fly-tipping across Dinas Powys, Leckwith and Michaelston.
The Leckwith Road lay-bys have become a particular trouble spot, as has the Twyncyn. Cllr Andy Robertson pressed the Council for action, and requested CCTV a local hotspots, as well as tougher enforcement.
The Council then issued two £300 fines for fly-tipping in the area, and have acquired a mobile CCTV unit that will be launch on a trail basis.
Andy said
"Fly-tipping is a blight on our community and must be stamped out. We must catch those responsible and show it will not be tolerated."
