Leader of Vale Conservative councillors, Cllr George Carroll, has paid tribute to Her Majesty The Queen for “a life of dedication, commitment and devotion” to our country.
Cllr Carroll said, “Throughout her life, Her Majesty The Queen served our country and the Commonwealth with dedication, commitment and devotion.
“Earlier this year, communities across the Vale of Glamorgan all came together to mark her Platinum Jubilee.
“This shows how significant she was to us, and the impact she made.
“Her passing fills me with deep sadness, but also great pride.
"She is one of history’s great figures, and we will not see her like again.
“My thoughts, and those of Vale Conservative councillors, are with the Royal Family at this sad time.”
