Potholes around the Vale have been a problem for many years, a problem that have rightly annoyed many residents. Since 2014 the Conservatives have been campaigning for more road resurfacing by local authority to tackle the issue.
When we took control of the Council in 2017, we invested more then £3 million extra in resurfacing. Conservative Councillors such as Cllr Vincent Bailey and Cllr Leighton Rowlands in Dyfan and Cllr Rachel Nugent-Finn in Cadoc have been key in ensuring extra cash for road resurfacing which is the best way to prevent potholes developing.
They will continue their efforts along with Alun Cairns MP to keep pressing the new Labour-led local authority for more, so we see a dramatic reduction in a number of potholes in the future.
