Local Conservative Councillor Rachel Nugent-Finn for Cadoc has today called for more investment in road resurfacing.
Since being elected in 2017 Cllr Rachel Nugent- Finn has been campaigned for better roads in Barry.
Potholes around the Vale have been a problem for many years, a problem that have rightly annoyed many residents. Since 2014 the Conservatives have been campaigning for more road resurfacing by local authority to tackle the issue.
When we took control of the Council in 2017, we invested more than £3 million extra in resurfacing and we are calling the Labour Independent run council to invest even more.
Cllr Rachel Nugent-Finn said "As we all know, many of our local roads and pavements need improving, I'm pleased that I managed to get roads like Dobbins Rd, parts of Coldbrook Road East/West and many potholes on Vera Street. I have expressed concerns to the council that many roads need redoing that why I have raised concerns about Vera Street at the top, Pencoedtre Road jct St Bridges Way roundabout. This is good progress, but there’s still more to do. I would like to invest in our roads in the Vale."
