Commenting on the Welsh Government’s announcement of £100m to tackle the waiting list backlog in the Welsh NHS, Welsh Conservative MS for Vale of Clwyd, Gareth Davies MS said:
The Shadow Minister for Transport, Russell George MS, has hailed a new public body- Great British Railways – as “pioneering” for Wales’ transport system.
He said: “Britain is rightly proud of its railway history and today’s bold announcement will build on that famed legacy.
This is a watershed Senedd election. A vote for Welsh Conservatives in this election is a vote to close the per pupil spending gap between the Vale and Cardiff. It is a vote for more regeneration spending.
We have campaigned hard to ensure that the local community is consulted over how the Cowbridge Cattle Market site is used, not simply ridden roughshod over by the Labour-run Vale Council cabinet's plans for another supermarket on the site.
The Labour-run Vale Council is feathering plans to develop the Eagleswell School site without wider consultation or sufficient investment in supportive infrastructure for the local community.
The forthcoming Senedd election is a watershed where real change is possible. The pandemic has thrown the spotlight on over two decades of Welsh Labour incumbency. Voting Welsh Conservative is a vote for investment in our transport infrastructure.
